  • Attended JAD sessions as Business Analyst and used RAD Rational Tools.
  • I am responsible for maintaining quality of auto systems performance of night batch window and on-line CICS uptime.
  • In addition, I am responsible for maintenance enhancement and primary production on-call person for following systems:

    Dealer Financial System –

  • This is an on-line and batch system to capture each dealer’s financial data monthly and produce composite trends and expense trends for dealer, district, zone and national. The Host legacy system was converted to DB2 using Cobol CICS DB2 and MQ.

    Freight Payment System –

  • This system deals with Freight Payment to all the Carriers (Truck & Rail) for the movement of cars from Origin to Destination via EDI using IBM Expedite Manager and GENTRAN.

  • Developed Web based Dealer applications using MQ series for real time communication with Mainframe. Dealers request for Retail Sales, Inventory and Availability reports was converted from overnight batch process to Real time using MQ series. Every request submitted by dealer to the Mainframe message queue triggered a CICS transaction in Cobol DB2 and MQ commands which processed the request and sent back the formatted report to the Windows NT MQ server. This complete process was designed developed tested and implemented using MQ, CICS, Cobol, and DB2.
  • The Customer Retail information RDR from Dealers was converted to MQ by triggering a batch job when a request was submitted in a defined message queue. This batch job was triggered by MQ and ran a COBOL DB2 MQ program to process the customer info in batch jcl and sent back the acknowledgment to the dealer using the MQ Header Queue Manager, Queue Name and message id to match and close the original request.
